a special spot
Real random and real quick.. about 3 years and 1 month ago we came to a Mexican restaurant here in Atlanta. As soon as we got back to the house my water broke and the next morning little Kendalynn was born. Tonight we came to the same restaurant and I sat in the exact same spot. :) So here is a terrible picture of me in the same seat with my Kendalynn love in my lap instead of my stomach!

Caution: more blood
so i did a silly thing. i was attempting to fix my rotary cutter (like a pizza cutter for fabric) and ya-da ya-da ya-da somehow i sliced my pinky and my ring finger. whoopee! long story short, i now have 6 stitches in my pinky and 4 in my ring finger. they almost cut off my wedding ring (the brought in the cutters and everything!) but decided that it wasn't too bad so i just need to keep an eye on it.
til now i've never had stitches or had to go to urgent care or anything. first time for everything i guess! luckily tyler was home and he jumped up to help me get towels and bandages to get the bleeding (and lots of it) to stop. the kids were asleep so we called Audrey to come over and watch them for us. although we had to wait 55 minutes to have the nurse call us back, they were all really friendly and the doctor did an awesome job at making sure i didn't feel a thing.
can i just say that i LOOOOOOOOVE modern medicine? i love that i don't have to feel anything while the doc stitched me up. awesome.
caution: blood
My first real injury. Sitting in the urgent care waiting to get stitched up. If only they were a little more urgent!

a project
So a few weeks ago I took pictures of a family in our ward. The parents had all their 5 children and their families here for Christmas. 29 people. The only room to fit them all in left me with a desk and window in the pictures. Then I started noticing that there wasn't one good picture with everyone smiling. Luckily, there was at least one smiley picture of everyone, so I got a little creative. Here is the finished project:
They wanted me to change the color of the 2 kids chairs in front, take out the window, take out the desk, take out the corners of the walls, and I took it upon myself to fix as many unhappy faces as I could. So I ended up changing one face, and one entire child. (wowzers...) It took a lot of different versions of the picture, but I think I finally have it completed. Here is the original picture: Notice the differences??

do you see it?
Alright...so below is a picture of me when I was, I dunno, tiny-ish. And then below that there is a picture of Logan from a few weeks ago. After Summer pointed out that this picture of me looks like Logan, I totally see it. So I found the best picture of Logan at the same sort of angle for the rest of the world to tell me if they see it or not. I sure do. I just think we have the same cheeks and nose and mouth and, well everything I guess except that my hair was lighter and his eyes are darker.

christmas
i love christmas. i love my family.
especially topher and carrie.
they are my favorite. not because they are so pretty or smart...they just have something special about them. i hope my kids grow up to be just like them.
thanks topher and carrie for being so great.
now...the rest of my family.
GO HOME.
stop eating my food. stop making my house a mess. stop being so loud.
get out. you eat too much and stay up too late. you're the worst house guests.
merry christmas.

it's a miracle! (i spoke too soon...)
As you may notice below, I was finally able to upload a few pictures! And as soon as I wrote the title of the blog, it stopped working.
So 3 pictures is all you get. And for those of you who checked the link to my facebook album from last time, you've already seen these pictures. Whoops.
But other news... Logan Walker, is now a walker! (Walker is his middle name in case you didn't get that...) He still crawls a little here and there but it's obvious that all he wants to do is walk. He gets so excited about walking that most of the time that's what knocks him over. Haha. Funny kid.

lame
So...my blog still hates me and won't let me upload pictures. I promise I tried a ton of different things, but I think it's just a fact that my computer and my blog just don't get along. Sad.
So I added a ton of pictures to Facebook of our AWESOME trip to California this last week. We loved every minute of it. Ate awesome food, went to awesome parks with the kids, the Monterey Bay Aquarium (awesome!), and tons of super awesome other things. We can't wait till we get to go back again!
Here is the link. :( Let me know if it doesn't work!

love

I have been waiting for a double stroller for a few months now. So Tuesday when I went, there it was. For a whopping $27. This is the stroller that I found. (mine is black, but the same model and all. and if for some reason that link doesn't work, it's a double stroller by Zooper.) A $500 stroller for $27? WHAT???? Little did I know that I was buying a BMW of strollers. I also found this cute little art table for Kendalynn for $5.95. It sells new for $80.
But enough of the Goodwill. One of my other little loves is Kendalynn's new and expanding imagination. She's just now getting to the point where she plays with her toys outloud and has voices for the people and what they're doing. She currently has princesses in the bus and plane on their way to California and it seems to be on a dangerous adventure cause they keep falling.
I promise I'll try and put pictures up. If it lets me.
