Duke Trip - Hooray Blue Devils!

Due to Carrie's wonderful visit we decided to go to Duke for a day to see the beeeaaaauuuuuutiful campus.  We took some loverly pictures of the chapel and old buildings and even tried to get into the basketball gym which of course was locked.  We visited the gardens which were quite awesome and full of pretty things.  So here are some of the pictures we collected from the day!  Enjoy!

The dorm buildings.  I wish ours looked like that!

Beautiful architecture.

The pretty chapel.

The insanely large water lilies.  Seriously...I could fit our little family in it.  Granted it would probably sink....

Me and cute little Bug-Bug.

CARRIE!  Alright...since Carrie and Jamie have both taken time to post a blog all about me, I decided that I would take this opportunity to post something all about Carrie since she is coming to visit!  9 days!  How exciting indeed!  So hopefully we'll have a grand time take lots of fun pictures to post later.  :)

So here's to you Carrie...your stupendous-ness and all your fun faces!

Alright it's been a little while so I suppose it's time for an update.  The only thrilling thing I have to say for myself, is that we finally got a table and 4 chairs!  WOO-HOOO!  I was getting so tired of eating on the floor, so on Labor Day I was going through Craig's List and found this magnificent table for a good deal.  The seller (named Katie also) said she already had 6 other people ask about it, but when she found out my name was Katie too, there was a sudden bond between us and she said if I could get there before 3:30 it was mine.  SOLD!  So hooray for tables.  I've already done a puzzle, and now I have a place to scrapbook without baby getting into everything and taking my things!

As for our spectacular child...she is now crawling in the traditional way, but does occasionally slip in a inch-worm style movement every so often.  She is so fast!  She also seems to have mastered the art of grabbing onto things and pulling herself to a standing position.  This is usually followed with a few moments standing, then a sad "come help me I can't get down" little whine, or a nice little plop to the ground.  Also she has mastered the art of finding the tiniest things to put in her mouth.  No matter how many times we vacuum or sweep the kitchen, she finds a way. :)  Other than that, life is good here in North Carolina and we couldn't be happier!

Our nifty table!

She pulls herself up standing and sucks on the table...yuck.

Cute pj's

She loves climbing in and on everything.

So rare...and so cute!

She LOVES making messes of her things...mostly the things
she knows she's not suppose to get into. :)
