a proud father moment

Tyler has been reminding me to blog this story for a few weeks now, but just like most things I always forget.  And besides, most of the time our blog followers only check our blog for pictures of Kendalynn anyways.  Sorry guys, yet again there are no pictures.

So a few weeks ago in church (mother's day I believe) Kendalynn was standing on my lap looking to the back of the chapel when suddenly she yelled out (quite loud in fact) "BAA!  BAA!"  Not wanting to look behind me at all but to silence her as fast as I could I just distracted her with a pacifier and a toy.

As Sacrament Meeting ended, we stood up and realized that in the back of the chapel they had opened up the dividers between the chapel and the gym for more seating space, and we realized that Kendalynn's loud outburst was indeed meant to be "BALL! BALL!" because she saw the basketball rims on the other side.  When I pointed that out to Tyler he immediately felt proud of her for getting so excited over basketball.  It made Tyler unbelievably happy, and that's all I have to say.
