a special spot

Real random and real quick.. about 3 years and 1 month ago we came to a Mexican restaurant here in Atlanta. As soon as we got back to the house my water broke and the next morning little Kendalynn was born. Tonight we came to the same restaurant and I sat in the exact same spot. :) So here is a terrible picture of me in the same seat with my Kendalynn love in my lap instead of my stomach!

Caution: more blood

so i did a silly thing. i was attempting to fix my rotary cutter (like a pizza cutter for fabric) and ya-da ya-da ya-da somehow i sliced my pinky and my ring finger. whoopee! long story short, i now have 6 stitches in my pinky and 4 in my ring finger. they almost cut off my wedding ring (the brought in the cutters and everything!) but decided that it wasn't too bad so i just need to keep an eye on it.

til now i've never had stitches or had to go to urgent care or anything. first time for everything i guess! luckily tyler was home and he jumped up to help me get towels and bandages to get the bleeding (and lots of it) to stop. the kids were asleep so we called Audrey to come over and watch them for us. although we had to wait 55 minutes to have the nurse call us back, they were all really friendly and the doctor did an awesome job at making sure i didn't feel a thing.

can i just say that i LOOOOOOOOVE modern medicine? i love that i don't have to feel anything while the doc stitched me up. awesome.

caution: blood

My first real injury. Sitting in the urgent care waiting to get stitched up. If only they were a little more urgent!

a project

So a few weeks ago I took pictures of a family in our ward. The parents had all their 5 children and their families here for Christmas. 29 people. The only room to fit them all in left me with a desk and window in the pictures. Then I started noticing that there wasn't one good picture with everyone smiling. Luckily, there was at least one smiley picture of everyone, so I got a little creative. Here is the finished project:

They wanted me to change the color of the 2 kids chairs in front, take out the window, take out the desk, take out the corners of the walls, and I took it upon myself to fix as many unhappy faces as I could. So I ended up changing one face, and one entire child. (wowzers...) It took a lot of different versions of the picture, but I think I finally have it completed. Here is the original picture: Notice the differences??

do you see it?

Alright...so below is a picture of me when I was, I dunno, tiny-ish. And then below that there is a picture of Logan from a few weeks ago. After Summer pointed out that this picture of me looks like Logan, I totally see it. So I found the best picture of Logan at the same sort of angle for the rest of the world to tell me if they see it or not. I sure do. I just think we have the same cheeks and nose and mouth and, well everything I guess except that my hair was lighter and his eyes are darker.
